At the Roxa Development Institute (RDI), we support individuals affected by trauma, including Veterans, Refugees, and marginalized communities impacted by global conflict. RDI provides psychological counselling, housing and transition assistance, education and employment support, and resettlement.

We bridge global expertise with local action, helping individuals, families and communities recover from conflict, rebuild their lives, and thrive in their next chapter.

Frontline
Support

RDI is supporting the development of two dedicated facilities to expand services for the communities we serve:
Veterans Transition Centre (VTC)
Refugees Transition Centre (RTC)

Opening in 2026, both centres will provide affordable housing, counselling, education, employment and resettlement assistance.

Our impact

Roxa Development Institute (RDI) helps Veterans, Refugees, and communities affected by conflict to rebuild their lives with stability and hope.

As a key partner in Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s Safe Passage of Afghans program, RDI has supported hundreds of skilled newcomers in securing meaningful employment across healthcare, education, and the skilled trades—laying the foundation for successful integration.

What’s ahead

In Vancouver, the Veterans Transition Centre (VTC) will offer 50 to 100 long-term rental units for Veterans transitioning out of service. The facility will include Veteran-specific counselling, community-building programs, and training placements for UBC counselling psychology students, creating a collaborative centre for healing and growth.

In Edmonton, the Refugees Transition Centre (RTC) will provide 50 to 100 affordable rental housing units for Refugee families, alongside trauma counselling, educational and employment support, and welcoming spaces that foster resettlement and recovery.
